This is a 1944 Russian Nagant revolver. The barrel is actually 4.5″, 7 round capacity, and a 7.62x38R.
The wear and tear is consistent for its age and it comes with a period holster that is in good condition but is missing its cleaning rod.
This gun was used by the Russian Imperial Army and later the Soviet Union after the Russian Revolution.
